Program Partners
Thanks to our federal and provincial funding partners, this program was successfully re-launched by the Food Processing Human Resources Council (FPHRC) in 2016. The funding our partners have provided will ultimately improve food safety and traceability standards across hundreds of agri-businesses in the province of British Columbia.
The Government of Canada
Funding was provided from the Government of Canada to support and continue with Canada’s top food safety reputation.
The Province of British Columbia
The province has provided leadership for the program in order to support its agri-food business. The three following priorities the BC Ministry of Agriculture has set are directly met with the goals of the Post-Farm Food Safety Program:
- Growth of high quality and high value products;
- Increase the industry competitiveness; and
- Expanding domestic and international markets.
Growing Forward 2
Growing Forward 2 (GF2) is a renewed $3 billion federal, provincial, and territorial government commitment to support agriculture.
This funding for the Post-Farm Program is specifically designed to support agri-food businesses in improving food safety and traceability systems and practices, which in turn contributes to BC jobs, the economy, and diversifies rural communities.
The Food Processing Human Resources Council (FPHRC)
A recognized leader in education and program delivery, the FPHRC supports the Post-Farm Food Safety and Traceability Program with program delivery, courses and training.
